COURSE GRADING

The following is a description of each type of assignment that will be included in the calculation of each student’s nine weeks grade:

Section Quizzes/Essays:  All students will be accountable for reading assignments inside and outside of class.  Section quizzes and essays will be given as scheduled to encourage students to come prepared for class discussions, assignments, etc.

Study Guides:  Students will be required to turn in a study guide of completed terms for each chapter covered in the course.  Study guides must be hand written and turned in on assigned due dates.

Web Exercises:  Students will be required to access the web for one assignment per nine weeks.  They will be required to choose one exercise each nine weeks to complete and submit from a designated website directly to the professor’s e-mail address.

Theme Projects: Students will be required to complete one theme project per semester.  Students will formulate individual questions and projects to complete based on a given theme and with teacher’s guidance.

Chapter Tests:  Evaluation of student knowledge will include chapter tests that cover material discussed in class as well as material read and produced outside of class.  Test structure may consist of multiple choice questions, identifications, short answer, matching, true/false, and essays.
